What’s Keeping You from Becoming a Network Marketing Success?

Update August 2015 – I’ve decided to hang up my MLM hat for good and move on to something far more reliable and less sleazy.  Check out how 1000+ former MLM and Affiliate Marketers have shed their sleaze and are on the fast track to building a guru-free future for themselves.

Are you struggling to make any money at all with network marketing?  Maybe you’re just breaking even, but just can’t grow your business enough to meet those goals and expectation you had when you started.

You’ve reached the point where most network marketing wannabe’s call it quits..

Don’t be a wannabe…

You know, the difference between network marketers who struggle just to make a dime and the super affiliates making a KILLING with tens of thousands of dollars of monthly residual income is that the super affiliates have pushed through the hard times, learned from their mistakes, and gone on to become rockstars.

If you feel like you’re stuck in the mud and just can’t get your multi-level marketing business off the ground, then listen up!

You need to identify which of these 4 common mistakes you’re making, and make a change PRONTO!

Network Marketing Success Killer Number 1 – Not Letting Go of the Past

You know the old saying, right?   “We learn from our mistakes.”  Successful network marketers learn from their failures, jump back on the horse, and charge forward.

I’ve seen WAY too many people just vanish off the face of the Internet after trying to “make it big” and failing.  And I’d bet real money that if you asked them if they learned from their mistakes, they’d say YES.

Excuse me?  What??

That’s right.  I’ve talked to more than a few folks that dropped out and I get pretty much the same story every time.  What they “learned” is that you can’t “make it big” on the Internet.  Or that the program they were promoting was a scam.

That’s bullshit…  Plain and simple.

What they REALLY learned is that their methods weren’t working and that it was going to take effort to meet their goals.  They believed the hype some Internet Marketing Guru was spouting, and they were convinced that they were going to get rich quick & easy.

Well…  CRAP.  You mean I can’t get rich quick?  Why am I even trying??

That’s not what I’m saying at all.

It’s absolutely, positively possible to strike it rich –very quick- with network marketing.  It’s the “easy” part that has people fooled, and it pisses me off every time I hear some slimey “guru” telling people otherwise.

Becoming a network marketing success requires you to learn from your mistakes and to come back swinging harder than ever.  You have to try different marketing methods—test the waters.  Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone.  And remember, no matter what the gurus say, no one out there can guarantee your success but you…

It’s all up to you.  OWN your success!

Network Marketing Success Killer Number 2 – Lack of Committment

This biz is sorta like jumping into a cold pond.  If you’re gonna do it, you gotta just dive in head first.  You have to ignore the fact that you’re wet…  you’re cold… and you’re just plain uncomfortable.

Don’t half-ass it and expect results.  If you’re not in all the way—fully committed to doing what it takes.  It ain’t gonna happen.

You have to believe in yourself… totally and completely.

When you finally convince yourself that this WILL work for you, and you WILL succeed, you’ll be able to break free from those things holding you back.

You’ll finally start to make it all happen.

Network Marketing Success Killer Number 3 – Not Listening!

This one’s all in your head.

When you’ve been in this business for a while, you learn to spot who has promise and who hasn’t.  The best candidate for becoming the next Internet Marketing sensation is someone that’s willing to toss out everything they think they knew about marketing.  They let their mentor take them under their wing, and they soak up their training like a dry sponge.

Falling victim to this is easier than you think.  Lemme give you an example.

My primary stream of income right now comes from a company called Empower Network.  The founders of this company have made it possible for others to follow in their footsteps if you just follow the plan.

One of the first and foremost requirements (or commitments) is that when you join, you need to create and post at least one entry to your personal blog EVERY day.  You can knock this out in, like, 15-20 minutes, max.

How many people do this?  You’d be surprised.  In just the first week alone, maybe 1 in 10 actually follow through and blog daily.

And by the end of their first month, blogging has pretty much dwindled down to zero…

If you’re going to become a network marketing success, you gotta be willing to learn from those who have legitimately made it before you…

Network Marketing Success Killer Number 4 – No Testicular Fortitude

Sorry ladies, this means you too.

… if you refuse to go out on a limb and invest in the training, tools, and company you need to market effectively…

… if you’d rather get your beauty sleep than stay up late getting your business on its feet…

… and if you’re too weak to stand up to the haters, the naysayers, the pessimists and the misinformed…

you probably don’t have the balls to succeed in network marketing.

But, don’t lose hope.  And don’t get all crabby on me. 🙂

You can choose to take a stand and go after your dream.

I did.

And I’ve never regretted it for a moment.

So, identify your flaws, remove them from the equation, then get out of your own way and go on with making those dreams come true.

Sound like a plan?

Coaching you to success,

Ken Mabry

  1. Ken, thank you for your article, it lifted my spirits in a time of need. I am on a emotional roller coaster with my business because it feels like I just can’t catch a break. I know I need to push through, I am battling with the voices in my head right now and sometimes feeding into negativity can feel “good”. But I know better. Thank you for your wisdom.
